Transitions

This blogging thing is new to me so here goes.

Thoughts for the day.

We find ourselves in the midst of yet another transition. As we move into a time when we let go of our home base here in Montana, launch Eva into college, begin the process of the myriad details of moving to northern Thailand and having me (Barb) be in full blown perimenopause (I know you women out there understand) sometimes I feel like I am coming apart at the seams but God is always faithful to keep me all in one piece.

We have also invited a young woman from Africa to live with us over the next few months. She is on staff here as a missionary helping to train Bible teachers and needed a different environment than the dorm. Greg says I often like to pile on new things during stressful times but we prayed through it as a family and everyone felt as if we should offer.

Eva has had several good options come her way for college. Howard is still at the top of the list but she has also been given scholarships to George Fox University, Seattle Pacific University and Montana State University. All have nursing programs which is the direction she appears to be headed in. Tonight is her senior prom and she has invited a wonderful guy she knows from our old church in Hamilton, Montana. Hair appointments, make - up sessions, dress shopping, killer high heels all seem to be the priority of the moment. Wow!

Greg and I will be itinerating to raise more support for the upcoming move as our expenses will increase living over seas. We look forward to reconnecting with many of our friends.
